About Ron Moore
Ron Moore was born and raised in Perry, Oklahoma--also the place where he and his wife, Lori, met and married in 1980. Ron and Lori have four children: Brittany, and her husband, Josiah; Garrison, and his wife, Sarah; Lara, and her soon-to-be-husband, DJ; and Mackenzie, a sophomore at Liberty University. They also have one granddaughter, Leah, born to Garrison and Sarah.
For the past 25 years, Ron has served as senior pastor of The Bible Chapel, a multisite church with 4,000 people meeting at four campuses throughout the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, area. Before joining Back to the Bible, Ron's teaching was heard each weekday on a national program called The Journey.
Ron earned a Master of Theology (Th.M.) and a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree from Dallas Theological Seminary where his doctoral work focused on marriage enrichment. He also holds a master's degree in education from Texas A&M at Commerce. Ron has written several books including: Journey through the Bible, Journey through the Psalms, Journey through the Gospels and Ignite. His newest work will be released in May 2017.
