 Jesus Face 2 Face.
As I'm thinking about sermons; I'm pondering the Scripture of Mathew 20: 29-34, aka the two blind men who received sight.

Verse 32 jumped off the page when I read it. The words of Jesus, "What do you want Me to do for you?" NICE!!! Image Jesus, the One and Only Jesus!  Jesus is in your presence; face to face and asks you that question! "What do you want Me to do for you?" WOW.

We all have needs, we all have wants and we certainly all have desires that we regularly and frequently rehearse in our prayers, conversations and our thoughts. But...image that when Jesus actually asks you face 2 face; what do you want Me to do for you?? Our words will probably not form and we would stand with our mouths open. Perhaps not even able to think or articulate what we've been lacking and wanting.  Perhaps, we'd be so perplexed and mesmerized that He actually wants to know what He can do for us??

Bible truth:  Jesus is closer than we often remember and realize, and He is asking you the same question He asked the two blind men that day, "What do you want Me to do for you?"  Your request may be for you, or it may be for another; whatever the case, we have a compassionate Lord who desires to help and bless.  Thank you Jesus!

Means an added bonus!  When contemplating a new job opportunity, the question of "what are my benefits" is normal to help you make a decision if the opportunity is right for youWhen you received forgiveness by accepting the truth of Jesus Christ in your life, perhaps you weren't thinking of the benefits of being His follower.  Great news!  There's benefits to being a Christian.  Psalm 68:19 promises that daily, God loads us with benefits.

Those that take God for their God, and give up themselves to Him to be His people, shall be loaded with His benefits, and to them He will be a God of salvation.  For he promises of God are in Him and are yes and amen!   From Genesis to Revelation, you will find over 3,000 promises and a lot of additional benefits to you as a follower of Christ!  That's a great benefit package!

Exercise your faith.  Have you ever heard the phrase, "Use it or loose it?"  This is so true in our faith.  Hebrews tell us that faith is the absolute component that pleases God.  I mean, Jesus endorsed walking on water, right?  Jesus knew what His Father desired from Peter that day when He asked him to come to Him on the water.  We can use our faith in big ways or small ways.  Either way, use it, because it pleases God.  How will you use your faith today?  Start small if necessary, but each time, exercise it in greater ways.

A different view can be the change that's necessary.  I like to rearrange my furniture because I get bored with everything looking the same way.  Sometimes the rearranging involves everything being moved and sometime it's as simple as making minor adjustments.  What the rearranging does foe me, is it allows me to see things differently.  This same concept is helpful in our relationships.  When you can't seem to find what you're looking for, perhaps a different view is what's needed.

There's No Substitution for Christ in your life.  The thing about life is that God gives us choices.  We get to choose much of what happens in our life and its outcomes....that's cool that He trusts us!  But we can mess up a good thing by substituting our will for Gods will, our choices for His choices and rushing in front of or lagging behind Him in our timing.  Nothing can imitate God in our lives for very long.  Things and people don't last, only God will remain.  He's the Real Thing!

This word is in the Bible almost 150 times from Genesis to Revelation.  We are instructed to trust God; which means we are to rely on Him knowing with full confidence He is able.  And in most areas; well, some areas we do trust Him. some areas, circumstantially we do, right?  But at some point in your relationship with God, just like with human relationships, you have to choose to know that God has integrity and not only is He able, but He will.  When you cross that threshold of trusting God's integrity totality; you find peace, which can't co-exist with stress.  #trustHIM.

Show Up and Show Out
for Jesus.  There are unlimited reasons to support the work of God this side of heaven.  Every effort you invest in the furtherance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is making an eternal difference.  Show up and show out on your quest to make God famous while you're on tour.  Kindness, generosity, giving, helping, doing, praying....all that you have to do and can do and are willing to do and be is not in vain!  God is faithful to bring the harvest.

There's MORE...There are over 7000 promises of God found between Genesis and Revelation which brings home the truth that God always has MORE for us than our current capacity and understanding.  Often to get to the more,we have to go through some stuff!  When you're going through the stuff, keep in mind that you've got to hold onto the promises of God through your problems.  Romans 8:31-so then what shall we say to these things..if God is for you, who can be against you?  Don't believe what you see, believe what God said...there's MORE!

Can you hear HIM now?  Some people won't hear what you hear, and you won't hear what some people hear...the importance is hearing what God is saying.  John 12:28-30 tells of a conversation between Jesus and His Father as He predicted His death on the cross.  Jesus was able to hear His Fathers voice in verse 28, but those people who were mentioned in verse 29, who were standing close to Jesus weren't able to hear the voice of God, they said it was thunder.  And others said it was an angel speaking to Jesus.  In verse 30, Jesus tells them whatz up!  Jesus answered and said, "This voice did not come because of Me, but for your sake."  Today, may you hear the voice of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.  When God speaks, not everyone else will be able to hear it.  May we, who love Him, hear Him loud and clear!

Last words are important words.  People have a tendency to save the best for last.  Last words are cherished words.  Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus gives us some of His last words...."All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth..Go!...I have your back, I'm with you, always."  Here we have it, our marching orders, our assignment, Christ's directives to us based on His unlimited authority.  His unchanging agenda for us is guaranteed to succeed because He is in partnership with it.

You hold the seed. God holds the harvest.  Expectation is what links the two.  Expectation is knowing that something good is going to happen because of God.  Expectation follows your seed.  Galatians 6:7.  God says, when I sow a seed, (good or bad) I will reap a harvest.  Use the law of expectation and plant good seed, plant healthy seed, plant seeds of love, service and faithfulness.  Whatever your seed....know it's an investment.

Relationships are a big deal with God.  Relationships cannot be avoided, they are part of life.  In a relationship, it's beneficial to give a person a reason to stay.  When you have an attitude of, "I"m good if you stay or if you go."  People will go. Make a person feel wanted.  Everyone wants to be wanted.  Support people out of their situation.  Support by doing the small things to show that you care.
